What is Panhellenic?

Good Question.

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the governing body for 26 inter/national women's fraternities and sororities. It was founded in 1902 and is one of the largest and oldest women's membership organizations.

But what does Panhellenic at DePauw do?

Panhellenic at DePauw is officially know as the Panhellenic Association (PHA) and is the governing organization for the 6 NPC chapters that we have on our campus. Those chapters are Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Pi Beta Phi. The Council is headed by an executive team, which this year has representation from every chapter on campus (check out their bios under the Meet your Executive Council tab). The Panhellenic Council manages dues, enforces rules, organizes events, and serves as a body of communication between chapters, other councils on campus, and administration. Our main goal is to promote a unified and strong Greek community for the women on our campus through philanthropy, scholarship and the advocacy of women's issues.
